John Aquflino, 72, of 515 First St. died Tuesday. July 31. 1962. in Washington Hospital, after a short illness.
Mr. Aquilino was born Feb. 17. 1890. in Troia, Province of Foggia, Italy. He came to the United States in 1912 and had resided in Canonsburg for more than 50 years. He was last employed at Universal - Cyclops Co., Bridgeville, retiring in 1961.
He was a member of St. Patrick's R. C. Church; Sons of Italy Lodge 758; French Club and American Legion Post 253. all of Canonsburg.
Surviving are his wife, Matilda Macchia Aquilino; one daughter, Mary, wife of Martin Kostelich and three sons. Patsy, Louis and Tony, all of Canonsburg; one brother. Louis, Washington, RD 3; one sister and three brothers in Italy and five grandchildren.
Friends will be received after 7 p.m., Wednesday in the Mario L. DeAngelo Mortuary, 194 East College St. where a Blessing Service will be held at 9 am. Saturday, Aug. 4, followed by Requiem High. Mass at 9:30 in St. Patrick R. C. Church. Burial in the church cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 253, Canonsburg. Prayers for the dead at the funeral home.
