Dole T. Donovan, 93, of Macon, Georgia died Monday, May 15, 2017. Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11:00AM at Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 6:00PM until 7:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, 719 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.
Mr. Donovan was a lifelong member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church where he served as an usher for many decades. He was a member of the Solomon Sunday School Class. Mr. Donovan was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and a volunteer with the Macon Cherry Blossom festival. Mr. Donovan was an avid fisherman who loved to host fish frys. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice White Donovan.
