Mr. Donovan was a lifelong member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church where he served as an usher for many decades. He was a member of the Solomon Sunday School Class. Mr. Donovan was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and a volunteer with the Macon Cherry Blossom festival. Mr. Donovan was an avid fisherman who loved to host fish frys. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice White Donovan.
