Joseph John Zielinski, Sr. 1936 - 2017
MARCY, NY - Joseph J. Zielinski, Sr., age 81, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017, and entered peacefully into eternal life.
Joe was born in Utica, NY on February 7, 1936, the son of Josephine (Starczewski) and John Stanley Zielinski. He graduated from Utica Free Academy and served honorably in the US Army. He was married in 1959 to Marie Luley Zielinski for 17 years until her death on August 23, 1976. Joe's second marriage was to Linda Burg Bernard January 1st, 1977.
Joe worked for 35 years as a Machinist (lathe operator)at Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company and thirteen years as an Adaptive Equipment Technician for Upstate Cerebral Palsy until 2009.
He enjoyed his Polish heritage, workshop, camping, reading, Mozart , and especially reading God's Word and being a prayer warrior for many people's needs. Joe was good and kind man who shared his love with all who entered his life.

Joe is survived by five children and their families, Anne Zielinski and wife Mary Linen, Denise and Tom Laribee, Cheryl and Jeff Tromley, Edmund and Tess Zielinski, Joseph Zielinski, Jr.,
He had five grandchildren, Nicole and husband Josh Hediger, Ashley and husband Todd Wollaber, Jason Simone, Tyler Shortt, and Zachary Zielinski Repash,four great-grandchildren, Madison and Jacob Wollaber, Olivia and Joshua, Jr. Hediger,

He also had three step children Loralyn (Bernard)and husband Joe Colosi, Charlene (Bernard)and husband Ray Rivera, and Darrel (Barnard) and his wife Heather Bernard;
His step grandkids are John and David Husnay, , Alyssa and Danielle Rivera
He was very close to his older brother, Leonard Zielinski, who died January 14, 2014. He also leaves behind several other relatives, too numerous to mention.

His funeral service was on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Whitesboro. Interment, with Military Honors, followed in Carr Cemetery where he was laid to rest next to his wife first wife Marie.
