Mrs. Joann Grace Giuliani West, 84, of Hagerstown, died Sunday at Meritus Medical Center.

Mrs. West, born in Hagerstown, MD; was the daughter of the late Dante and Mazie Hartel Giuliani. She was also preceded in death by two sons, John J. West and Donald E. West, Jr. a daughter, Donna Marie West and a sister, Donna McIntire.

She was a graduate of Hagerstown High School where she was a member of the Cheer leading squad and she attended Hagerstown Junior College, earning 27 credits. She worked in her father's store on North Potomac St. during her high school years. She later worked part time for First National Baks and A&P Market.

She was a member of First Christian Church, where she was a member of the Eveready Class, She was also in charge of the cradle role, which she loved. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Fountain Head Country Club.

She was a care giver to the young and old throughout her adult life.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Donald E. West, Sr., a son, Ronald West; brother, Harry Giuliani and wife Pat; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
