Rebecca J. Barnett, 37, of Pleasanton, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Far more fierce, than her inspiring fight was her all-encompassing dedication and love for her two children, Hunter and Brandi.

Becky was born April 7, 1980 in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating from Pleasanton High School in 1998, she married her high school sweetheart. The two enjoyed many Marine Corps adventures before returning to Pleasanton to raise their family.

Becky was full of life and brought joy and inspiration to those she loved. She made those around her feel special, but she committed her true and full devotion to her children who were the central focus and pride of her life. She was a bright and shining face that served the citizens of Atascosa County as a Deputy Assessor Collector in the Tax Office for many years. Her endearing laugh and playful spirit will be deeply missed.
