Mr. Jerry Lee Morrow, age 78, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Monday evening, May 15, 2017 at Tanner Medical Center Carrollton, following a brief battle with cancer. He was born May 30, 1938 in Carroll County, Georgia, the son of the late James Ira Morrow and the late Ruby Ayers Morrow. He was retired from Trent Tube with thirty-six years of service and was a US Army veteran. He was a longtime, faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Clem. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Doris Bates and Betty Proctor and a brother, James I. Morrow. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Crawford Morrow; daughter & son-in-law, Jena & David Hyslip of Benton, Tennessee; son, Jay S. Morrow of Carrollton; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 3:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. John Lemmings officiating. Music will be rendered by Bro. Donnie Muse. Those serving as pallbearers will be Tracy Morrow, Danny Jiles, Steve Bates, Howard “Smitty” Smith, Alfred Hudson, and Dr. James Pope. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens with Bro. Mark Edwards presiding.
