Born in 1922 in Alice, Adams worked for the Alice Daily Echo and The Advocate before entering military service. After leaving the service, he entered chamber of commerce work and was employed in San Antonio, Pasadena and Los Angeles, Calif., and Seattle, Wash., before moving to the Cleveland area.He also served widely as a consultant in community development.
Adams is survived by his wife, Betty, a son, and three daughters.
