William Adam, II, 51, native of Alice and former sports editor for The Victoria Advocate from 1947 -1950, died early Monday in a local hospital after a long illness. Adams had been a resident for several years in Pepperpike, the he was employed with Greater Cleveland Growth Association.
Born in 1922 in Alice, Adams worked for the Alice Daily Echo and The Advocate before entering military service. After leaving the service, he entered chamber of commerce work and was employed in San Antonio, Pasadena and Los Angeles, Calif., and Seattle, Wash., before moving to the Cleveland area.He also served widely as a consultant in community development.
Adams is survived by his wife, Betty, a son, and three daughters.
