He was born November 17, 1929 in Greenville, AL, the son of Jessie and Exer V. Lowery Perdue Sr., residing in the area since 1959, coming from Niagara Falls, NY.
Mr. Perdue was employed with Republic Steel Corporation for 36 years as a Dye Molder, before retiring in 1979.
He was a member of the Second Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and helped with the Food Program. He belonged to the NAACP, past Worshipful Master of Masonic Pine Belt Lodge #404 and enjoyed gardening.
He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1947-1952, receiving several honors.
He married Rosie Bell Perdue December 15, 1951, she died June 14, 2013.
He leaves to mourn one stepdaughter, Ms. Callie Harris of Niagara Falls, NY; two caregivers, nieces Ms. Lydia C. Lampley and Ms. Cynthia L. Ball both of Warren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John Perdue and Arthur Perdue and two sisters, Ms. Cora Ball and Ms. Rose Provitt.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 12:00 noon at the Second Baptist Church. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to service (11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.). Burial will take place at Pineview Memorial Park Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at 809 Dover Street, S.W.
