He passed away surrounded by his family Saturday May 13,2017 in a Lafayette hospital. Perry, was a U.S. Naval Veteran and was active with the Youngsville Veterans Roundabout, which he helped design and build, as well as the Clock Roundabout. He was a Master Gardener for Lafayette Parish, he also volunteered at the new VA Clinic. His greatest accomplishment was his children, and getting his wife of 33 years to think the Wilson way. He was quick witted and a friend to all.
He is survived by his wife Kathryn Burnley Wilson of Youngsville; his mother Betty Bratton Wilson of Dangerfield, TX, a daughter Jena Wilson Harmon and husband Jason of Lafayette; a son Anthony Dean Wilson and wife Carin of Humble, TX; 2 sisters Laura Wilson Hanke and husband Bud of Joplin, MO, Traci Wilson Mefford and husband Doug of Canton, GA; his grandchildren Jonn, Jade, and Jess Harmon, Alexander, and Zachary Wilson; his cats
Katrina and Daisy.
He is preceded in death his father Jess Willard Wilson, and a special cousin Kay Seabolt.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Veterans Homeless Shelter of Lafayette.
Perry was very proud of his country and asks attendees to please wear red, white, and
blue.
