Elaine Marie (Marlow) Hall, age 93, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Country Meadow Care Facility.

Elaine was born on July 29, 1923 in Mansfield, Ohio to Hubbell S. Marlow and Florence (Figley) Marlow. She was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, June class of 1941 and a life long resident of Mansfield.

Elaine was a piano teacher for many years, retiring in 1975. She was a graduate of Sherwood Music School. She was also a former member of Ohio Music Teachers, Richland County Music Teachers and National Guild of Piano.

Elaine was a member of O.E.S. Ruth Chapter #17. In her early years she was a member of First Christian Church, then later a member of Grace Brethren Church and Cornerstone Brethren Church. In her final years she also attended the First Christian Church.

Elaine was an excellent cook and baked delicious pies, cakes and cookies. She enjoyed playing golf, trips to Michigan, summers at Walton Lake and most of all time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman S. Hall, whom she married on October 5, 1945. Her parents; sisters, Geraldine McKee and Marylyn Marlow; her brothers, Walter H. Marlow and William S. Marlow; and a great-grandchild, Judson Hubbard.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn E. Geiger (husband Rick) of Mansfield; son, Norman S. Hall Jr. (wife Terry) of Roy, UT; eight grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; one great great grandchild on the way; sister-in-law, Margaret Ann Marlow; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank the Southern Care Hospice team of Bethany, Cheyenne, Kristin, Jennifer and all others who care for our mom. Also, a special thank you to “Cricket” our mom’s roommate for her kindness and concern. Gifts may be made to the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, 138 Park Avenue West Mansfield, OH 44902.

The family will welcome friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Home, 98 S. Diamond St. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Les Vnasdale will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Mansfield Cemetery.
