Actor. Born John Frederic Cygan, he was a character actor who was not only well known for his work in television, but also for his voice work in animated films and video games. He first got involved in acting in a church theatre troupe while still in high school. His first acting role came in the 1990 television series "Babes". He would go on to appear in such television series as "Bob", "The Commish", "The X-Files", "Frasier", "Diagnosis Murder", "The Hughleys", "Becker", "NYPD Blue", "Judging Amy", "The Shield", and "Modern Family". He was also involved in voice work in animated films with such credits as "Cars", "Ice Age: The Meltdown", "Minions", "Toy Story 3", "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs", "Horton Hears a Who!", and "The Lorax". He also voiced characters in video games including "Grand Theft Auto V" and "Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty" – the latter as the character Solidus Snake.
