Mrs. Snyder, born in Winchester, VA; was the daughter of the Albert Lanham and Jean Cornwell Hummerand the widow of Frederick Stewart Snyder, who she married Jan. 10 1984. She was also preceded by a step-father "Pete" Hummer and brother, Mack Hummer.
She retired from Fairfax County Public Library in 1999 after 30 years of service. She then began her second career as office assistant at the Department of Social Services in Berryville, VA. She was a member of the Charles Town American Legion Auxiliary; Berryville VFW Auxiliary; Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church, Berryville and an active volunteer at FISH of Clarke County.
She is survived by a son, Brian Snyder and his fiancee', Eileen of Leesburg, VA; two daughter, Michele Snyder of Stephen City, VA; and Kelly Collins and husband Jeremy of Winchester, VA; three grandson, Bailey and Cameron Collins and Caleb Snyder and his companion, Paul Rosa of Charles Town, WV; sister, Anna Bryan of Knoxville, MD; and other family and friends.
