BURLINGTON, VT. - Marian Margaret (Byrnes) Hayes, age 77, of Burlington, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, August 9th 1999 at the Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt.
Marian was born on February 17th 1922 in Burlington, Vt., she was the daughter of William Frederick and Mae (Powers) Byrnes.
Marian was educated at Mount Saint Mary's and a graduate of the University of Vermont.
She married her husband Bernard Elliot Hayes on October 9th 1943 in Burlington, Vermont. Together they had four children; two sons and two daughters. He predeceased her on July 7th 1996.
Marian worked as Benefits Manager for the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont until her retirement in 1987.
Marian took pride in her care of beautiful flowers and her huge collection of Beanie-Babies.
She was predeceased by her husband & parents, and one sister; Kathleen Devanny.
