Rev. Taylor H. Wallace, 93, of Enterprise, passed away on April 16, 2017 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS.

He was born on February 28, 1924 to Sim and Irene (Taylor) Wallace in Charleston, SC.

He served in the U.S. Navy as a Chaplain and retired as a Lieutenant Commander. He was pastor at Enterprise Baptist Church for 26 years and served as Interim Pastor 26 times in Clarke and Lauderdale County. He had a ministry at Righteous Oaks Recovery Center. He enjoyed farming, gardening and working with his sawmill and woodworking shop.

Taylor is survived by his wife, Catherine Wallace; daughters, Sarah (Jerry) Smith and Lydia (Richard) Meek; son, David (Vickie) Wallace; sister, Mary Lou Neal; grandchildren, Scott (Nikki) Smith, Daniel (Kristin) Smith, and Angel Smith; great-grandchildren, Jacob Smith, Logan Smith, McKenna Smith, Gavin Smith, Hayden Smith, Gracie Smith, Kolton Gorrell, Kaden Gorrell, and Grayson Gorrell.

He was preceded in death by parents, Sim and Irene Wallace; brothers, Dale Wallace and Simmie Wallace.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017, 5:00 pm at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel, Quitman, Mississippi.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017, 11:00 am at the Enterprise Baptist Church Family Life Center, with Rev. Macon Phillips, Rev. Richard Cothern, Rev. Danny Bullock, officiating. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service for visitation.

Burial will take place in the Enterprise Cemetery.
