Born in Bridgeton, son of the late Eleazor S. & Mary Jane (Garrison) Wood, Doc lived in Pedricktown most of his life. He was a graduate of Penns Grove High School and Salem County Vo-Tech. He was an auto mechanic, in the past working for Bobbitt Boys of Sharptown for over 15 years and more recently for Foster's in Pilesgrove for over 10 years. He enjoyed his work and being around cars and trucks. He was a well known figure in the community and enjoyed talking to the many people he would encounter throughout his day.
Doc is survived by his brother, James F. Wood and his brother's companion, Bobette Rice. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Louis E. Wood.
