Ryan P. Frye, 15, of Midline Road, Amsterdam, died Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Nathan Littauer Hospital from injuries sustained in an accident.

He was born in Glens Falls on June 16, 2001, a son of Phillip and Tammy Decker Frye and lived most of his life in Broadalbin. Ryan was a tenth grade student at the Broadalbin-Perth School District.

He participated in football and baseball at school and enjoyed music. Ryan loved cars and 4-wheeling as well as fishing. He was a passionate martial arts student since age 5 at Martial Arts & Me (Pazzaglia’s). Ryan was a huge animal lover and loved to care for his three dogs, PJ, Amber, and Marley.

He is survived by his parents, Phillip and Tammy Frye of Amsterdam; a brother, Tyler Snell of Amsterdam; maternal grandparents, Edie Chase (Clarence Loomis); paternal grandparents, Phillip and Roseanne Follette Frye of Johnstown; godparents, Corey and Michelle Geloso-Cioffi of Fultonville; two aunts, Prudence Frye and Tina Decker; an uncle, Mark Decker; several cousins; and numerous friends.
