He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Garner; four beautiful children: Ashley, Chase, Hudson and Jackson; parents, David and Donna Garner; siblings: Jared, Nathan and Christina.
Jason was a proud member of the sheriff's department and mounted unit, but above all he loved his family. His children meant the world to him. He cherished watching them grow and play. Jason was always smiling and a friend to all who met him. He loved to share his love of horsemanship, baseball, and golfing with his kids. He genuinely cared about his family and our community and wanted to make a positive impact for the people and community he served.
A funeral service in Jason's honor will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 10:00 am at CrossPoint Community Church, 1301 12th Street , Modesto, Ca. Burial will be immediately following the service at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, Ca.

Deputy Sheriff Jason Garner and civilian Community Service Officer Raschel Johnson were killed in a vehicle crash while en route to a previous burglary call at approximately 8:20 am.
The patrol SUV left the roadway near the intersection of Crows Landing Road and Seventh Street before striking a parked vehicle and dumpster. The collision caused the vehicle to become engulfed in flames.
Community Service Officer Johnson was riding along with Deputy Garner at the time of the crash.
Deputy Garner had served with the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department for nine years. He is survived by his wife and four children.
