Samuel R. Young, 47, of Piqua, died on Sunday, April 18, 2004 at 9:49 am in Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born in Dayton on October 30, 1956 to the late Daniel H. and Ellen L. Casto Young. He married Mary A. Stone on March 26, 1977 in Dayton; and she survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Daniel A. Young, Joseph S. Young, Anthony R. Young all of Piqua; two brothers, Kerry B. Young of Dayton, Steve L. Young of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, and brother-in-law, Danita H. and Bruce Smith of Mason; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Young was a 1974 graduate of Fairview High School, and the owner and operator of Total Automotive in Piqua where he was an A.S.E. Certified Mechanic. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, and the Piqua Lions Club.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at 10:00 am in St. Boniface Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home where a prayer service will be conducted at 5:00 pm and a Lions Club service at 7:30 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Center, 339 South St., Piqua, OH 45356.
