Chesaning Soldier Dies in War.

Specialist 4th Class Tommy J. Terry, 21, a native of Chesaning, was killed in action Thursday in Vietnam, where he had been stationed for seven months.

His wife, Terry, is living at 630 Abrey Ave.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Jennings-Lyons Chapel. Details of his death were not immediately known.

Terry was born in Chesaning, July 19, 1945, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell R. Terry.

He attended Chesaning High School, from which he graduated in 1964.

He lived most of his life in Chesaning.

He married Terry R. Rathbun, at the Owosso Trinity Methodist Church, July 21, 1966.

He had been assigned to Company B, 5th Battalion, 7th Calvary of the 1st Calvary Division.

Survivors include: his wife, his parents, four brothers, Don of Chesaning; Russell of Flint and Chester and Gary, both of Chesaning.

Terry Funeral Is Tomorrow

Funeral services for Spec. 4th Class Tommy J. Terry, who was killed in action in Vietnam last Thursday, will be at the Easton Church of Christ, tomorrow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Robert E. O'Brien officiating.

Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery. The body rests at Jennings Lyons Chapel until noon tomorrow.
