Christopher Todd Potter, 41, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, May 10, at Covenant Medical Center from injuries sustained in a car accident.

He was born July 27, 1975, in Waterloo, the son of Norman and Marsha Butz Potter. He married Tracey Necas on September 16, 2000 in Waterloo.

Christopher graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1993 and was employed as a welder with Iowa Laser.

Survivors include his wife, Tracey of Waterloo; his children, Jackson and Maya of Waterloo; his parents; Norman and Marsha Potter of Waterloo; his brothers, Ryan (Sean Winters) of North Liberty and Aaron of Washington, IA; his sister, Amy (Matt) McAtee of Windsor Heights.

Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Melvin and Helen Potter; maternal grandparents Morris and Edith Butz.

Services 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 18, at First United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Waterloo. Public visitation from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo. Visitation also one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
