Joanna Sparks, age 96 of Glasgow, died early Saturday morning at TJ Samson Community Hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete but are under the direction of the A.F. Crow and Son Funeral Home.

Joanna “Jo” Grim Sparks, 95, of Glasgow died Saturday, May 13, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Green Forest, AR on June 1, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Ebbie and Rita Smith Grim. She married the late James Sparks on August 1, 1950.

During World War II she contributed to the war effort by installing windshields on airplanes. She was an active member of Glasgow Bible Church and AMAR Homemakers.

**Survivors omitted for privacy.**

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter Sybil Sue Grimes and two brothers Bill and James Ree Grim.

Funeral services will be 3:00pm Monday, May 15, 2017 at the Glasgow Bible Church with burial in the Edmonton Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 1:00pm until time for the service at the church. A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form or memorial contributions to the Glasgow Bible Church, The Gideons or your local Hospice Organization.
