Eva Iona (Groff) Trow-Maiden was the daughter of John W. Groff and Lydia (Patten) Groff. She married and divorced twice.
Her first Husband was Lewis Albert Trow of Curlew, Iowa. She married him there on January 7, 1916. Together they had two children: Bonneta "Bonnie" Lydia (Trow)_Storck (1916-??)and Vaughn Trow (1918-1943- KIA WWII France). She divorced Lewis Trow and remarried Otto Frank Maiden. Together they had five children: Vaun V. Maiden (1921-1944. KIA WWI Germany), Verne Otto Maiden (1925-1978), Calvin Carl "Tink" Maiden (1928-1981), Dean Dewain Maiden (1930-2010) and Ann (Maiden) Johanson.
Eva died in her Son Dean's apartment in Sioux Rapids where she had been living for only a month and a half. Before that she lived in Marathon, Iowa for 37 years.
