He retired after 40 years at LG&E. He worked as a general foreman and was a member of Rowan Street Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Lois Marie Cowles; daughter, Phyllis Ann Morrison; sons, Gordon and Gary Morrison and one granddaughter, Ashley Robbins.
He is survived by his son, four daughters, a sister, 34 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
His service will be 1p.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be noon-8p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and Friday after 11a.m. at the funeral home.
