Longtime Siskiyou County resident, Roger Allan Perkins passed away at his home in Lake Shastina on April 6, 2017 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was 90 years old.

Roger was born to Sumner and Lucy Perkins in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Purdue University, and enjoyed a long career with Lockheed-Martin Aerospace Company after his time with the United States Navy. Roger was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

In addition to his parents and a sister, Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Perkins, in April of 2016. Roger is survived by his three children, Dan, Bob, and Jane; his step-children, Harold Willis, April Willis, Susanne Shaw, and Timothy Willis; four grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service with military honors will be held for Roger on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Girdner Funeral Chapel in Yreka.
