"Ross County, Ohio Families" volumes 2 and 3 by the Ross County Genealogical
Society. The pages she sent me contained information on some of my
ancestors as well as someone else's ancestors! I thought I'd send what I
have on those other families in case it may be of help to someone on these
lists. I know I've seen some of these names in postings on these lists.

Peter and Rosanna GROVE came from Holland and settled in the MD-VA area. In
1798 George and Rosanna HAYNES came to this area
from Shepardstown VA with a group led by Thomas WORTHINGTON. HAYNES built
the third log cabin in Chillicothe, corner Second and Mulberry Sts. George,
a blacksmith, made the bolts, nails and nuts for the bridge built across
Scioto River in 1812 and 1813, assisted in building it. In 1815 the family
moved to a farm in Springfield Twp; were buried in cemetery nr Hopetown.
