The obituary below and the California death index have different dates of death for Sarah . . . obviously the same person from other records: CADI has death as 10/16/1921 in Los Angeles, the obit below is from July 1921 and indicates she died in Rio Bravo. All I know for sure is that she is buried here and died in 1921! Sarah and Samuel were married 2/28/1888 in Alameda, California.

Mrs. Sarah Merrill of Rio Brava Dead
Sarah De Etta Merrill, of Rio Bravo died yesterday in a local hospital. She is survived by a host of friends in Rio Bravo where she held a place of high standing and character in the community. She leaves a widower, S. I. Merrill, two sons, C. Arthur Merrill and Wallace D. Merrill and a daughter Grace E. Jensen of Los Angeles
The funeral will be held in Los Angeles.
