Obituary: "Mrs. Daisy Dean Holt, 75, lifetime resident of Uniontown and widow of the late L.E. Holt, founder of the Union State Bank of Uniontown, died in her sleep sometime last night in her home in Uniontown which she and her husband built some years after their marriage in 1903. A friend and neighbor, Miss Myrtle Bryant, this morning noted the absence of smoke from the chimneys of the Holt residence. Knowing Mrs. Holt to be an early riser, Miss Bryant went to the house in which Mrs. Holt lived alone, but found the door locked. She called the son of Mrs. Holt, Curtis H. Holt, and together they
found Mrs. Holt dead in her bed.

Mrs. Holt, who was born in Uniontown and spent her entire life there, was a director in the bank, of which her son, Curtis, now is president. The late L.E. Holt also founded the first telephone exchange in Uniontown and he and Mrs. Holt were active in civic, church and social life there.

Daisy Dean Ramsey, daughter of Austin & Fannie Duerson Ramsey, was born Oct. 8, 1875, at Uniontown and attended the schools there. On October 13, 1903, she was married at the Uniontown Methodist Church to L. E. Holt, who died in 1935.

Surviving are the one son, Curtis H. Holt, Uniontown, and two daughters, Mrs. Fern Hobbs, Redfield, and Mrs. Virgil Strader, Wichita. Mrs. Holt was the last of a family of four brothers and sisters. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at Earl's Memorial Home."
