Mr. Phillip W. Parrish, Sr., 85, of Lanett, AL passed away on Thursday, 11 May 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Parrish was born in Lanett, AL on 8 Nov 1931 to the late Clarence Parrish and Louise Stillwell Parrish. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Yarbrough Parrish; son, Richard Vincent Parrish, Sr.; brother, Harold Parrish.
Mr. Parrish was a member of the Lanett United Methodist Church. He was an air pilot who always enjoyed flying and building model airplanes. He was a mechanic and a service manager in the community for several years. He was the owner and operator of Phill's Auto Service.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. (EDT) Saturday, 13 May 2017 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev Mark McGee officiating. The family will visit with friends at Hillcrest Cemetery immediately following the graveside service.
Mr. Parrish is survived by his children, Phillip W. Parrish, Jr., Montgomery, AL; Linda "Dee Dee" (Bobby) Anderson, Lanett, AL, William Cale (April) Parrish, Lanett, AL; brother, Maxie Lawrence (Betty) Parrish, Pine Mountain, GA; grandchildren, Richard (Claudia) Parrish, Jr., Valley, AL, Robert "Andy" Anderson, Columbus, GA, Amy (Trey) Gilbert, Valley, AL; great-grandchild, Justin Ty Gilbert; special pet and companion, "Mickey".
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Mr. Parrish' memory to Chattahoochee Hospice.
