Peter H. Christenson 1901-1954
Hans Peter Christenson was born December 2, 1901 near Clarksfield, Minnesota to parents Christ and Gena Christenson. At the age of 7 he moved with his mother to St. Cloud. He worked on a farm near there a number of years. He then moved north and worked in the Fosston community. On November 20, 1928 he was united in marriage to Cora Nelson by Rev. Korshavin in the parsonage at Winger. To this union three children were born.
In the spring of 1930, they moved to a farm in Sletten township where they resided ever since.
He passed away on October 2, 1954 at 10 p.m. at the age of 52 years and 10 months. Surviving are his wife, Cora, one son Marvin of West Fork, Arkansas; and two daughters, Hazel of Fosston and Elmyrna at home. One granddaughter Marvadine of West Fork, Arkansas; one sister Mrs. Clarence Marvin (Alma) of Marshfield, Wisconsin; and one brother Martin of St. Cloud; one half sister; three step brothers and one step sister.
Pallbearers were Henry Hogreness, Rudolph Moen, Joe Grundyson, Walfred Frisk, Reuben Olson and Godfrey Kaupang.
