Mrs. Opal Irine Gregory of Aleysha Drive, Murphy North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. Mrs. Gregory was born June 22, 1943 in Sundail West Virginia the daughter of the late Arthur Hall and Katherine Anderson Hall .She was preceded in death by her loving husband Paul K. Gregory in 2014. Surviving Mrs. Gregory are her two children Freddie (Trish) Gregory of Wadsworth Ohio and Kenny Gregory of Dellroy, Ohio, her four sisters Mary Summers of New Port Ritchie Fl., Nora Gauer of Rootstown Oh., Alma Smith of Dunlap Tn., and Dovie(Gary) Peters of Beckley W. Va. brother Marvin (Gretta) Hall of Whitesville W VA ,sister- in-law Candis (Eugene)Wilson of Canal Fulton, Ohio two grandchildren Aleysha and Megan, one great grandson Zaiden, special niece Cindy (Rob) Yackey, and many other nieces and nephews also special friends David and Maggie Toney. Mrs. Gregory moved to Murphy from Ohio in 2011.Some of Mrs. Gregory’s special interests were gardening, canning, and bowling, she also loved computers and watching T.V. Mrs. Gregory was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was of the Methodist faith. A memorial service will be held at a later date with internment to follow on June 22, 2017 at the Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
