Edson was the son of Stephen W. Woodward and Dorcas A. Plaisted. He was the twin to Nelson F. (his middle name was probably Freeman also).

It appears that on Nov 2, 1912 he crossed the border to Highwater, Quebec, Canada for the purpose of getting married to Elizabeth Crozier. I don't know her parents, but records say that she was born about 1883 in Northern Ireland. He was 53 years old and she was about 29.

They made their home in Lancaster, NH.

Their children were Ann E, Edson Freeman Jr, and Robert C.

Edson was survived by his wife and children. I can't find his wife after the 1940 census.

Age: 82yrs 11mos 15dys

Cause of Death: Carcinoma of Stomach - Gastric Hemorrhage

Note:
His death certificate only stated he was buried in Lancaster, without specifying which cemetery. His daughter Ann is buried in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
