It appears that on Nov 2, 1912 he crossed the border to Highwater, Quebec, Canada for the purpose of getting married to Elizabeth Crozier. I don't know her parents, but records say that she was born about 1883 in Northern Ireland. He was 53 years old and she was about 29.
They made their home in Lancaster, NH.
Their children were Ann E, Edson Freeman Jr, and Robert C.
Edson was survived by his wife and children. I can't find his wife after the 1940 census.
