E. Glenn Shaw, 84, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully May 10, 2017 at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born June 6, 1932 in Wise County, VA to the late Lucian and Della Anderson Shaw.

Glenn was a loving husband to his wife of forty years, Beatrice “Bea” Onorato Shaw, who passed away in 2000. He was an easy going, high energy man who loved his country and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of The American Legion Hammond Post #3, Kingsport.

His hobbies included collecting American memorabilia, reading and listening to music. Glenn retired as a Supervisor with Buitoni Corporation, Emerson, NJ following 28 years of service. Following retirement, he fulfilled his dream by moving back to his childhood home in Kingsport, TN.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers; several nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Edna Neeley and Hazel Roberts both of Kingsport, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 pm Friday, May 12, 2017 in the Fireside Room at Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.

A Graveside and Committal Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in The Garden of Meditation with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Glenn’s honor be made to The Christine LaGuardia Phillips Cancer Center, HVMC, 130 West Ravine Road, Kingsport, TN 37660.

The care of E. Glenn Shaw and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.
