Mr. Wesley Scott, Jr., age 69, husband of Alice Faye Scott, and a resident of Owen Avenue in Columbia, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Monday at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Ball and Pastor Ronnie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery in Hickman County.

Born on December 27, 1947 in Hickman County, Wesley was the son of the late Grover Wesley Scott and the late Cora Dell Baker Scott. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was retired from Williamson County Highway Department. Wesley loved working on lawnmowers, weed eaters, and anything else he could work on in his basement. He was an avid George Jones and country music fan who enjoyed playing the guitar and listening to the Grand Ole Opry with his wife. Above all, he loved his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Melissa Reed, Lisa Scott, Teresa Jones, Houston Burkett, Tim Eastep, Ricky Eastep, Tina Eastep, Tony Eastep, Danny Eastep; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; brothers: Carl (Judy) Scott, Kenny (Dot) Scott; sisters: Sheila (Ricky) Dawson, Rita Hedrick; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Sara Ann Beard and Diane Johnson.

Pallbearers will include: Ricky Eastep, Danny Eastep, Joey King, Chris Dawson, Josh Harvey, Carl Scott, Jr., Randall Scott, and James Bolton. Honorary pallbearers will include friends and the employees of the Williamson County Highway Department and friends.

Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
