He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War, in which he was a crane operator. He worked as a laborer most of his life. This year would mark his 50th year as a member of Laborers International Union of North America and his 23rd year as a member of American Legion Post 635. To say that he enjoyed fishing would be an understatement. He knew every body of water from here to Arkansas, and he would have no problem telling you about every single one of them. If you had the time to sit and listen.
He is survived by a son, Telmage Fletcher; grandson, Greg (Jamie) Fletcher and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his ex-wife, Edith Doyle; a son, Timothy Fletcher and a great-grandson, Lukas Solomon Fletcher.
