Patricia Becton Blount, 83, of Waynesboro, entered into rest Tuesday, May 9, 2017. She was born in Rocky Ford, raised in Herndon, and has been a resident of Waynesboro for the past 63 years. She was a member of Fairhaven United Methodist Church in Jenkins County and a member of the local Bridge Club in Waynesboro. Patricia was the bookkeeper for 28 years for Edmund Burke Academy. She was an avid Georgia Tech fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah Frances Parker and Marion Ross Becton, Sr. and a brother, Marion Ross Becton, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, James E. Blount; a son, Joe Blount (Gwen) of Conyers, GA; two daughters, Paulette Black (Randy) of Waynesboro and Pam Ivey (Frank) of Conyers, GA; six grandchildren, Amy Adams (Ryan), Emily Williams (Ryan), Allison Bodin (John), Bethany Blount, Will Blount, and Ben Blount; and four great grandchildren, Camryn, Brandon, Evan, and Logan.
Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.
