LARRY LEE MADDEN, 82, of Atlantic died Wednesday, May 10th at his home in Atlantic. Graveside services for LARRY LEE MADDEN will be held Monday, May 15th at 3:00pm in the Atlantic Cemetery. Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Atlantic has the arrangements.

Visitation with family will be held Monday, May 15th from 2:00pm-3:00pm at Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home prior to services.

Burial will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the family’s wishes.

Larry Madden, 82, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at his home in Atlantic.

Larry was born January 19, 1935, in Cass County, Iowa, to Bert W. and Genevra E. (Parsons) Madden. He lived most of his life in the Atlantic and Cass County area. Larry worked at American Buildings in Atlantic and he also mowed city parks for the city of Atlantic.

In 1981, Larry married Judy Juhler in Atlantic, Iowa.

He was an avid CB radio enthusiast and was known as “Little Sioux” when he chatted on the CB. Larry was a fan of NASCAR and WWE wrestling.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Madden; a sister, Mary Jane Lewis; and a step-son, David Kirchner.

Larry is survived by his wife, Judy Madden of Atlantic, IA; his children, Larry Lee Madden of Texas, Amy Lett of Atlantic, IA, and Ronnie Madden of Red Oak, IA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; step-son, Ricky (Tersia) Kirchner of Atlantic, IA; brothers, Bert (Bev) Madden of Carroll, IA, Tom (Bonnie) Madden of Exira, IA; a brother-in-law, Karen Lewis of Omaha, NE; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation with family will be from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017, at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic, Iowa with a graveside service to follow at the Atlantic Cemetery in Atlantic, Iowa.

Memorials are preferred to the family’s wishes.
