She was born January 24, 1928 in Dallas County, Arkansas. Christine was a longtime faithful member of Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she loved serving the Lord. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and bird watching. Her family meant the world to her. She made sure every child and grandchild had a homemade quilt of hers and on each of their birthdays they always looked forward to the homemade pies she would make for them.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Porter Jones and Frances O. Green-Jones; her husband, Rush Wayne Chambers; a daughter, Frances Ann Farley; six brothers; and one sister.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Regina (Ronnie) Ford of Fordyce, Barbara (Andy) Russell of Fordyce; five granddaughters, Melissa (Joey) Robinson of Senoia, Georgia, Angie (Chris) Rich of Fordyce, Cindy (Huey) Herrington of Sardis, Mississippi, Jaime (Shane) West of Fordyce, Elizabeth Haynes of El Dorado; four great grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Kaitlyn West, Ashley Keeton, Brittney Haynes; a great-great grandson, Gabriel Smith; five brothers, Clinton (Linda) Jones, Ramey Jones, Wayne (Sue) Jones, Troy (Pat) Jones and Auburn (Jan) Jones.
The funeral services will be held at Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Nick Flowers and Brother Nathan Petty officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove cemetery near Fordyce.
