Richard Paul Guthrie aka ''Paul'' age 71 went home to the Lord on May 9th 2017. Paul was born May 5th, 1946 in Cookson, OK. to William and Bess (Horn) Guthrie. He was employed at Weyerhaeuser Corp. for many years before retiring at Greystone Estates in Hot Springs, AR. Paul enjoyed the outdoors, he loved fishing, horseback riding, racing cars, talking about fast cars, and he had an uncanny ability to fix things. He was a loving father, grandfather, and a dear friend to all. He lived life to the fullest enjoying the simple pleasures; like sitting down talking with friends and family and spending time playing with his grandkids. Paul loved traveling from his childhood home in Cookson, OK to Hot Springs, AR where he spent most of his adult life before retiring. He carried a magnetic presence with him that drew people near and dear to his company. He is survived by one brother Tommy Guthrie, and one sister Mary Lucille Guthrie, two sons Michael Guthrie and Ryan Guthrie, three grandsons, Bryce Guthrie, Austin Guthrie, and Jayden Guthrie, and one granddaughter Abriella Guthrie, one great grandson Bryson Guthrie, and one great granddaughter Madyson Guthrie, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Paul was preceded in death by his parents William and Bess (Horn) Guthrie, brother Bill Guthrie, sisters Sue Parker and Eunice Nail, and son Shawn Guthrie. Family, friends, and all others whose lives were touched by Paul's magnificent spirit are invited to join us at 11:00 am Saturday, May 13th, 2017 at Hart Funeral Home, 1506 N Grand Ave, Tahlequah, OK. Let Paul's charismatic personality be remembered as we celebrate his life!
