Eric Napolean Patterson, also lovingly referred to as “E.P.”, departed from us unexpectedly Monday, October 24, 2011. Eric grew up as an all American boy who enjoyed swimming, skating, bowling, and especially basketball. He attended East Forsyth High School. He was a graduate of Pyramid Barber School had spent the past 24 years as a staple of the family owned business, Pat’s Barbershop. He was a fun loving, life of the party personality who cherished family and never met a stranger. He totally adored his grandchildren.
He is survived by his paternal grandparents, James D. and Mary Alice Patterson; his father, David Arnold Patterson; mother, Joyce Anita Cousin; brothers, Denard Jones (Chassity) and Ronald R. Dortch, Jr.; sisters, Adrena Garland (James) and Melody Archie; one daughter, Gatina Greene; sons, Dewan Brent, Eric Mitchell, and Kedric Sprinkle; adored grandchildren, Quateria Greene, Gareon Greene, Kenya Greene, Zy’Mere Mitchell, Olivia Washington, Elijah Washington, and Kimora Brent; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, October 29, 2011 at First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family visitation will be held from 12noon until 1pm on Saturday at the Church.
