Raymond C. Reiser, "Ray," passed away Monday, May 8, 2017, at the Gardens at Wyoming Valley Nursing Home, Wilkes-Barre.

Born April 10, 1930, he was a son of the late Michael and Virginia Solomon Reiser.

He was born and raised in the Heights section of Wilkes-Barre, where he knew everyone; you mention a name, and he knew that person. he was married to his true love, Genevieve (Jean) Wincek, or as he called her, "Pudgie," and they had a wonderful life together.

Ray served his country for 9½ years in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War.

He was employed at the Acme Warehouse for 38 years and was a steward and trustee for the Teamsters Local 401, Wilkes-Barre.

Ray was a pigeon man, raising and racing homing pigeons for many years. An avid fisherman and hunter, he loved to go to Quadrini's cabin to do some great hunting.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Genevieve (Jean) Wincek Reiser, and sisters, Rosemary Reiser Kelly and Patricia (Chicki) Drevenik.

Surviving are his son, Theodore (Ted) Naugle and his wife, Dorothy, Plymouth; daughter, Janice Weiss and her husband, John, Pringle; grandchildren, Ted Naugle Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, John Weiss Jr., his hunting and fishing "buddy," Debra Radzwilka and her husband, Al, and Michele Erdman and her husband, Rahn; six great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Brooke and Trevor Weiss, Lane Naugle and Michael and Samantha Radzwilka; sister, Virginia (Mickey) Lee, Wilkes-Barre; sister-in-law, Mary Wincek; many wonderful nieces and nephews; many thanks to a great friend of Ray's, Joe Masi, or as Ray would say, my adopted son; also, Dom, Marv, Jonesy, Chicky and roomie Henry.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre. The Rev. John S. Terry will be the celebrant.

Interment with military honors will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre.
