He was born January 26, 1931 in Catawba County to the late Luke Dewitt Parker and Laura Williams Parker. Jeff attended Westside Baptist Church in Maiden where he was a member of the church choir. He loved singing at the local nursing homes and enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gralyn Denis Parker; brothers, Ken Parker, Cecil Parker and Grady Parker; sisters, Margaret Parker and Betty Peach.

Son: Terry Parker and wife Debbie of Maiden
Sister: Mattie Lee Beal of Maiden
Grandchildren: Brian Parker, Jason Parker, Amy Gozalkowski, Katherine Parker, Michael Edmondson, Rhonda Herman
And a host of great-grandchildren
A service to celebrate Jeff’s life will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. at Westside Baptist Church in Maiden. Rev. Bud Painter and Rev. Nathaniel Austin will officiate. Burial will follow at Maiden City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Westside Baptist Church. Those serving as pallbearers are; Jason Parker, Brian Parker, Joshua Parker, Roger Parker, Jonathan Gozalkowski, Wess Lynch. Honorary pallbearers are; Bryant Gozalkowski, Matt Gozalkowski, Adrian Parker, Bob Smyre, Bob Caskey and Rick Cook.
