Cynthia "Cindy" Sisk Farris, 64, of Madisonville, KY went to be with the Lord, her dad and her beloved, Jeff on Monday, May 8, 2017 at her sister, Tonya's home in Madisonville.
She was born on July 8, 1952 in Madisonville to Mary Lyon and the late, Jerry Lee Sisk. Cindy had a kind spirit and made those that knew her feel at ease so it came as no surprise to them when she established a ministry in 2000 called Hope Ministries. She also started a blog called Xortr's Ramblings Blog. She enjoyed singing, going to Florida to enjoy the beach, UK Basketball but what she truly loved was enjoying and being entertained by her nieces and nephews. Cindy was a member of First General Baptist Church in Madisonville and also attended Victory Church in Madisonville.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff "Thelma" (the nickname given by his mining buddies)Farris.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Lyon of Madisonville; step-mother, Brenda Sisk of Madisonville; sisters, Teresa Woods and husband, John, Tammy McKnight both of Madisonville and sister and caregiver, Tonya Rickard and husband, David of Madisonville; brother, Lee Sisk and wife, Karen of Nicholasville, KY; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Alan Menser officiating and Bro. Eric Nelson assisting. Burial to follow at Piney Grove Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
