Friedrich 'Fred' Butz was born on June 6, 1882, in Beideck Village, Volga, Saratov, Russia. He had one son and one daughter with Mollie Dreith between 1903 and 1908. He died on September 28, 1966, in Corona Del Mar, California, at the age of 84, and was buried in Colorado.

Immigration Note: US August 16, 1892 at the port of NY aboard the SS München. Traveling with a group of 4 persons, all from Beideck and all going to Lincoln, NE. Anna Maria Butz 17, Friedrich Butz 9, Maria Spomer 3 and Peter Fahnenstiel 31.

When Fred first moved from Nebraska to Denver/Globeville, he lived at the home of his Uncle George Conrad Butz, Jr., 4418 Sherman (1923 Denver City Directory). Later Fred and wife Mollie had their own home in Globeville at 4407 Grant (1929 Denver City Directory).

By 1940 (per Census Records) Fred and Mollie were living at 4536 Beach Court in the North Denver Sunnyside neighborhood -- in near proximity to brother Conrad Butz (4578 Alcott); sister Catherine Butz Dreith (4598 Beach Court) and half sister Elizabeth Triebelhorn Roth (4596 Alcott) -- all four are children of Susanna Butz Triebelhorn.

At some point Fred and Mollie moved to Corona Del Mar, CA, where they passed away. Their bodies were brought back to Colorado and buried at Crown Hill Cemetery in the same plot as son Samuel F. Butz.
