From the Marion Abstracts from Records of Undertakers and Embalmers page 12: Levi Naylor, Jr. drowned June 7, 1892, buried June 9th

Cedar Rapids Evening Gazette Wednesday June 8, 1892
Marion Mention
Two boys, Levy Naylor and Eddy Bloom, were drowned last night about sundown in Dry Creek, near Burnett, while in bathing. It seems as though the place where they went in at was their old bathing place of last year and they probably thought the water was not any deeper than last year, where they had been many a time before, but they were sadly mistaken, for the late rains had washed the hole out to the depth of sixteen feet, and the boys expecting it the same as before, probably jumped in with that expectation. One might have gone in first and gone beyond his depth and the other went to his rescue, for they were both found about 10 o'clock lying together at the bottom of the place where they were bathing.

Fairfield Ledger of Fairfield, Iowa Wednesday June 15, 1892
Levi Naylor and Ed. Todd, twelve and fourteen years, respectively, were drowned while swimming at Cedar Rapids Wednesday.

Marion Sentinel Thursday June 16, 1892
Two boys, about 12 and 14 years of age, were drowned while in swimming about one-half mile south of Burnett. The boys' names are Levi Naylor and Ed Todd. The bodies were found by King Tookey, A.R. Huffman and Dick Penec.
