She is survived by her sister Myrtle Prichard; sons, Greg Owen, Bud and Russ Armstrong; 6 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends in the Salem area.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald E.; brothers, Harry, Stewart, Ivan and Gene; sister, Ruth (Keyes); and stepsons, Robert and Charles.
Erma was born on April 5, 1932 in Hermosa, S. D. to Raymond and Josephine "Josie" (Hagen) Clason.
She moved to the Salem area in 1934 residing in many locations throughout the Santiam Canyon.
On March 20, 1947 she married J. N. "Pete" Owen and had three bouncing baby boys--three years apart--and still survived! In 1966 she divorced and in 1968 married Donald Armstrong, the two remained inseparable for the next 24 years, until his death in 1992.
Erma will always be remembered as a strong willed person and very quick to act. So I guess it should come as no surprise that she should leave us as fast as she would pass us on Lancaster. You will be greatly missed, Mom (Zoom On!).
