Ruby Melba Glass Clements went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2017. "Melba" was born in Nashville, TN, on January 11, 1932. She married James “Bubba” W. Clements in 1950.

Melba was preceded in death by her parents, Thurman and Alice Glass; her sister, Mary Belle Midgett; and her husband, James Clements.
Melba is survived by her three children, Deborah Clements Brooks, Gary Winston Clements, and Yvonne Clements Beck. She is also survived by her son-in-law, James Brooks; her daughter-in-law, Melissa Clements; her five grandchildren, Shana Hollis, Lindsay Brooks Watson, Daniel Lawerence, Brandon Clements, and Eric Clements; and her four great-grandchildren, Britney Hollis, Shelby Hollis, Lennon Elise Clements and Sophie Elizabeth Watson.

Melba graduated from Cohn High School in 1950. She loved to bowl, and watch her favorite professional teams: the Tennessee Titans, the Atlanta Braves, and of course, the Dallas Cowboys.

She retired from Third National Bank, and continued lasting friendships with many co-workers including Betty Lusky, Wanda Abbott, Beverly Finley, and Willie McDonald, as well as many other dear friends, including Elaine Hutchinson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 11 at 3:00pm in the chapel of Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, May 10 from 4:00-8:00pm at Mount Olivet. Online condolences may be made at www.mountolivet.com
