Professional Hockey Executive. He served as the president of the National Hockey League's Montreal Canadiens from 1964 to 1972. After studies in Montreal and Brussels, he began working for the family company Molson Brewing Limited in 1949, occupying various positions until he became vice-president in January of 1964. During the 1963-1964 hockey season, he was asked by his older cousin Senator Hartland Molson to take over management of the Canadiens, which was owned by the family. He would go on to serve as president of the hockey club until 1972 when the team was sold to Edward and Peter Bronfman. During his tenure, the Canadiens won five Stanley Cups (1965, 1966, 1968, 1969, and 1971).
