Debra K. “Debi” Withee, 59, of Jacksonville, IL died Monday evening, April 24, 2017, at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IL.

She was born May 6, 1957 in Granite City, IL, the daughter of Theodore and Joyce E. Flackus Trebing.

She married Thomas L. Withee on November 5, 1977 in Jacksonville and he survives.

She is also survived by her mother, Joyce McKean of Jacksonville; two sons, D.J. Withee (wife, Amanda) and Adam Withee, all of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, Ginny Malin, Cameron Withee, Gabby Withee, Breckin, and Sophia Withee, all of Jacksonville; five siblings, Ben Farnsworth (wife, Jennifer) of Dorsey, Kathy Unangst (husband, Duane) of Ringgold, GA, Theodore Trebing Jr. (wife, Jackie) of Buffalo Valley, TN, Pamela Henard (husband, Truman) of Venice, FL, and Mark Trebing of Granite City; her step-mother, Norma Trebing of Granite City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Debi was a 1975 graduate of Jacksonville High School and a familiar face in the community through her employment at Olson’s Cleaners, her work as a bank teller and trainer for several Jacksonville area banks, and her service as a waitress at Jacksonville Country Club.

An avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, Debi enjoyed many travel experiences, especially the year she spent with her husband residing in Switzerland for his work assignment. A devoted mother and grandmother, she treasured time spent with her family and her many animal friends. She was a woman of principle, always reminding her family to treat each person they meet with fairness and respect.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville with burial at Diamond Grove Cemetery in Jacksonville. The family will meet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial gifts are suggested to the Mia Ware Foundation or P.A.W.S. Animal Shelter.
