Jessie Ruth Richardson was born September 13, 1929 in Selmer, TN the daughter of the late W. T. and Bertie Elizabeth Pickens Garrett. She graduated from Selmer High School in 1948.

She was united in marriage to Grover W. Richardson on October 10, 1967. Mr. Richardson preceded her in death on January 14, 2016.

Mrs. Richardson retired from Brown Shoe Company. She also worked at various restaurants in town and was known for her good cooking especially her chicken and dressing. She loved all things purple and collecting pigs. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee.

Mrs. Richardson departed this life on April 29, 2017 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 7 Months, 16 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Fambrough and husband Keith of Orange City, FL; two grandchildren, Michael K. Congiardo and wife Wendy of Foley, AL, Sarah Jane Wildman of Burnsville, MS; nephew, Steve Nichols and wife Bonnie of Oxford, MS and family; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Nichols; a brother, McRae Garrett.
