Montgomery, Alabama, issue of July 10, 1912

R.J. Bellamy, a well known telegrapher of Montgomery, having been engaged in the brokerage business for a number of years, died Tuesday morning at 4 o'clock, after a very long illness. Mr. Bellamy has been in this city for the past eighteen years, in which time he has been engaged in several large brokerage houses. He came from North Carolina. Mr. Bellamy is survived by his wife Mrs. R. J. Bellamy; M. Bellamy, his father, and Mrs. M. Bellamy his mother, all of Raleigh N. C. Mrs W. J. Peele of Raleigh, N. C. and Mrs Cole of Kentucky. He is a member of the Woodmen of the World and also a member of the Elks. The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock this morning from the family residence at Capitol Heights. He will be buried with the honors of the Woodmen of the World and the Elks will participate. He will be interred in the family lot at Greenwood cemetery.

Former Raleigh Boy Died at His Home In Montgomery Today
Romulus J. Bellamy, of Montgomery, Ala., died this morning at 4:30 o'clock at his home in Montgomery , Ala. He was reared in Raleigh, leaving this city some fifteen year or eighteen years ago. He was about 38 years old. He is survived by his wife and one child. His mother, Mrs. Joanna Bellamy, and one sister, Mrs W. J. Peele, both of this city , also survive him. Mrs. Bellamy and Mrs. Peele went to Montgomery several days ago and were with him when he died. Other relatives of Mr. Bellamy, living in this city are Mrs. Ellen Richardson and Mrs. Harriett Andrews.
